From the creators of the highly-acclaimed Total War games, Creative Assembly, comes Total War Warhammer. This new installment is different from other Total War games in that it’s not based on actual history, but instead on the popular tabletop game Warhammer. Total War Warhammer is set in a fantastical world of elves, wizards, and knights. The game plays out on a campaign map of the world, with each team starting out in their own homeland. As of release, the game included four playable factions: the Empire, the Vampire Counts, the Dwarfs, and the Orks.
Each faction plays differently and has different campaign objectives. The Empire is a medieval human nation, with powerful cavalry as well as great artillery and steam tanks. The Vampire Counts are an army of the Undead. You’ll want to spread “corruption” when advancing over the campaign map to give benefits to your units. The Dwarfs get no magical units, but they have powerful infantry and artillery. Orks need to be constantly fighting to keep their “Fightiness” up. The game is still being worked on, and Creative Assembly is adding new factions.
